Configuring Permissions for Single Select

Last updated: October 7, 2024

Background

Today, your users can select what app they want, and Lumos can surface a list of permissions to choose from.

😨 ... What's this? They selected multiple permissions?

While for some apps, this may be a perfectly reasonable workflow. For others, this is a nuisance, and actually is incompatible with the workflow of some apps today.

Have no fear, you can now configure your apps to be single select only, meaning users will only be able to select one permission.

Instructions

1. Go to the admin AppStore table and open the settings of the app that you'd like to configure.

2. Toggle the "Allow Request for Multiple Permissions" to off!

3. You're all set

What if I want to set this as the default?

Maybe I want all apps added to my AppStore to be toggled off by default!

1. Go to the AppStore settings page.

2. Configure your default toggle here - this will drive the default value when you add a new app to the AppStore! (You can of course toggle this on still at the app level, this just allows you to set the default).
