Managing User Email Changes

Situation

What if one of our employee's email addresses changes? How do you ensure that Lumos updates correctly?

Let's say Albus's email is albus@lumostester.com. But we now change his email to albus.dumbledore@lumostester.com. What would we do?

Solution

1. First, create the account with the new email in the admin panel of your User Source (Google Workspace, Okta, Azure Active Directory, etc.). SeeπŸ“„ Importing User Sources

2. Suspend theΒ old account in the admin panel of your User Source. SeeπŸ“„ Importing User Sources

3. Click on the corresponding app in Lumos that maps to your User Source from the All Apps tab. SeeπŸ“„ Importing User Sources

4. Under the Integrations tab, click on the circular arrow button, then click Sync <App Name> Users. See here for more info:πŸ“„ How Lumos Syncs Your Integrations

5. Once that completes, you'll see the new user in the Users Tab, and the old user will no longer be present.Β 

6. Have the new user log into Lumos with their new email!
