Dashboards

Last updated: November 6, 2024

Dashboards are a powerful and dynamic way to visualize all of the information that lives within your Aleph tables, to enable deeper insights, richer communication, and an easier way to share results across teams. Dashboards are refreshed automatically as data updates, ensuring that youโ€™re always up-to-date and have your finger on the pulse.

Dashboards support three core processes for Aleph users: data visualization, data organization, and collaboration. In this section, we will provide detail on how to build and customize your dashboards.

Dashboards follow Permissions and Groups to ensure that users can only view data theyโ€™ve been allowed to access.

There are four features that work in tandem to enable a dynamic view across Dashboards.

  1. ๐Ÿ“„ Pages- Organize a dashboard into multiple sections. Pages provide multiple visualization opportunities within a Dashboard. There is no limit to the number of Pages that you can create with Aleph.

  2. ๐Ÿ“„ Blocks- Each Page contains Blocks to visualize data, track KPIs and organize links to backup files.

  3. ๐Ÿ“„ Global Filters- On each Page, you can apply global filters based on the data held within the Blocks. Filters work against dimensions or measures. Global Filters can act on multiple Blocks, and can be configured to let users select which Global Filters apply to which Blocks.

  4. ๐Ÿ“„ Variables- Generate custom values and labels for filtering custom data.
