Uninstalling The Lumos Slack App

Background

If you decide to uninstall the Lumos Slack app 😭, the instructions to fully remove it and all associated slash commands are below.

Steps

1. Look for the Lumos app in your Slack workspace.

Search for the Lumos App in the Apps section in Slack, click on Lumos, and Slack will redirect you to the App home page.

2. Go to the App configuration.

After your have identified the app in your workspace, right click on it to show more options, click on the Open app details button and a modal will appear with information, now click on the Configuration button and Slack will open in your browser.

3. Uninstalling the app.

The app details will appear on the web browser, scroll down to the end of the page and click on the Remove button, confirm the deletion on the dialog and you will be all set.

4. Verify the Slash command is not available anymore.

Once the Lumos App is removed, the slash commands (/appstore) will not be available for users to request access and notifications from the App home page will also no longer appear.

You can verify by typing /appstore in Slack -- the Lumos App will not appear as an option.
