Why does a non-admin account have "Admin Privileges"?

Last updated: October 7, 2024

Situation

An account in my access review is tagged as having "Admin Privileges" in the Category column, but it's not an admin in the app.

Solution

Lumos looks at all entitlement-related columns for the app and scans the data for the words "Admin" or "Owner" (not case-sensitive).

All columns in your access review are checked for these words except the following:

  • Account

  • Title

  • Review Status

  • Employment Status

  • Account Status

  • Team

  • Manager

If either of these words show up in any other column in your access review (even if the column isn't visible to reviewers), the account will be labeled as having "Admin Privileges".

Can I change this behavior?

Today you cannot, but please reach out via Slack or email (support@lumos.com) if this is creating significant friction for your review so we can review your use case.
