Word/Lumos Term | Definition |
App | An App represents a service that was discovered by Lumos. An app can be an Okta tile, a service discovered by Lumos from a user's emails, or a service you've integrated directly to Lumos. |
CSM | Customer Success Manager: These are the people that will be your advocates within Lumos - your main point of contact and your onboarding champion |
CTL | Customer Tech Lead: These are the folks that will help you with your POC and onboarding |
Identity Provider (IdP/IDP) | An Identity Provider is the source of "identities" that a company uses. E.g. Okta, Google Workspace, Azure Active Directory, One Login, etc. |
IT Service Management (ITSM) | A general term that covers all activities that a company performs in order to deliver, operate, & maintain IT services. Certain tools may be leveraged to manage these services, such as JIRA or Zendesk. |
ITSM Interception | ITSM Interception is a capability that enables Lumos to intercept access request tickets from your ITSM (Jira). |
JIT | Just in Time: A fundamental security practice where the privilege granted to access applications or systems is limited to predetermined periods of time, on an as-needed basis. This helps to minimize the risk of standing privileges that attackers or malicious insiders can readily exploit. |
One Click Offboarding (OCO) | One Click Offboarding (OCO) is a capability that allows a Lumos admin to remove a user and view & automatically deprovision their associated accounts with "one click". |
PoC | Proof of Concept: During your PoC, you may choose to run Lumos through your Sandbox environment or you may choose to get up and running and stage it through your production environment. Once the PoC is over, we can wipe your instance clean if you want to start fresh in your Prod environment. |
