How-To: Set Up Renewal Reminders
Last updated: October 8, 2024
Background
So, you've set up a number of your SaaS agreements in Lumos, but you want to know when to act - specifically, when you should look into your current agreement because your renewal is coming up.
This is where Renewal Reminders come in, to alert the right people to review their upcoming renewals when the time is right 💡

Steps
1. Set up Renewal Owners
Renewal Owners in Lumos are the individuals responsible for maintaining a relationship with the vendor and negotiating upcoming renewals. Whoever is set as a Renewal Owner will be notified by any upcoming renewal reminders, as well as License Limit Alerts. See📄 How-To: Set Up License Limit Alerts
If you set up the Agreement in Lumos, you will be set as the default Renewal Owner. You can adjust the Renewal Owners by clicking on the circle for Renewal Owner and selecting the owner(s) for the Agreement.
2. Set up your renewal reminder!
If you pop open the details of your Agreement (click "View Details" on the right), you'll see a section for Renewal Reminders.
By clicking "+ Add Reminder", you'll have the option to set a reminder before your renewal.
This will go off of the Opt-Out Date if that's been populated, otherwise, it will go off of the End Date specified on vendor agreement.
3. Wait for your reminders to fire 🔥
But wait, what's next?
