How-To: Unmatch Accounts

You'll know how to unmatch an account that has been incorrectly matched to the wrong User in Lumos.

When would you need to unmatch an account?

The Lumos automatic matching logic (📄 How does Lumos match accounts?) matched something incorrectly, or you made a mistake when manually matching (📄 How-To: Match Accounts).

Steps

1. Find the account you want to unmatch

2. Click the "..." button in the Action column, then choose the "Unmatch Account" option.

If the unmatch is successful, the account will no longer be matched to a Lumos User and will be labeled "Unmatched".

Once you've unmatched an account, you can manually match it again to a new User following the steps here:📄 How-To: Match Accounts

Troubleshooting

Lumos won't let me unmatch an account.

Accounts linked to your User Sources cannot be unmatched. See📄 Source of Truth
