At Switchboard you are charged for successfully delivered outbound texts and nothing else.

In December 2023, Switchboard lowered prices for all toll-free verified + registered traffic. All customers must be sending registered or verified traffic to get these new lower prices.

SMS vs. MMS:

  • An SMS message is any message up to 160 characters with no media attached

Note that an SMS message with an emoji only has 70 available characters. 🙃

  • An MMS message is any message above 160 characters and/or has media attached.

  • Your broadcast preview will tell you if the message will be sent as an SMS or MMS.

  • No commitments, minimums, setup fees, or prepayment. No charge for inbound messages, cleaning landlines from your lists, or for messages that result in an error.

  • No phone number rental charges – we set up sending numbers for you.

    • We can set up a shortcode for you, but we pass through all rental costs.

  • Pricing is inclusive of telecom fees and is the same for Local or Toll-Free numbers.

  • Each account receives a $30 credit, so you can send with no risks or long-term commitment.
